The Barn

Since taking over The Herne in September 2006 one of our top priorities was to convert the barn at the far end of our extensive garden, which housed a run-down games room, into a multi-purpose function room. By completely renovating the interior we have been able to produce a versatile space which boasts a bar and kitchen with views over the picturesque garden.

Sixty feet of decking was laid towards the end of 2009 in the outside area adjacent to The Barn which offers a fantastic space for those hot summer evenings and those all important photos. This space can also be utilised for the addition of a marquee which can be hired in a number of sizes. Extra dining tables and even a splendid chandelier for the larger more extravagant functions can be arranged as required.

Whether it’s a finger buffet for twenty of your nearest and dearest or an extensive sit down, four course meal for the extended families, our esteemed Head Chef will create a sensational menu.

We pride ourselves on making your day memorable and unique – for all the right reasons. One of our managers will help tailor-make your day. From organising your guest list, handpicking your wines to running the event on the day.

Whatever the occasion...

We can assist in making your function whatever you wish it to be. We’ve produced some menus for buffets, canapés and kids parties as a starting point. If you require anything additional simply let us know and we’ll do our best to accommodate your requirements.

Kid's Parties

With our own play area in our secure garden we're the perfect all weather venue for parties for kids of all ages. The Barn affords a secure area for the little ones to play and boogie while the adults watch on. See our dedicated kids party menus and ask us to recommend entertainers and services to make your children's party something a bit special.

Corporate & Small Business Events

We can offer the use of a powerful projector and large screen which can be connected to a laptop or DVD player. The Barn is the perfect location to hold training sessions, meetings and seminars without distractions. With very competitive hire rates during traditional work hours and refreshments available that won’t break the bank you can afford to reward your staff with a drink at the bar after.
